The Policy Paper for implementation, monitoring, and oversight of development and management of Transboundary Emerald Sites in compliance with EU Biodiversity Policy for the Governments of three count

Outcome 7. The Policy Paper for implementation, monitoring, and oversight of development and management of Transboundary Emerald Sites in compliance with EU Biodiversity Policy for the Governments of three countries are prepared.

Activity 7.1. Prepare the draft Policy Paper for implementation, monitoring, and oversight of development and management of Transboundary Emerald Sites in compliance with EU Biodiversity Policy for the Governments of three countries based on previous project outputs and inputs of project partners.

The Partners had already prepared the draft Policy Paper for implementation, monitoring, and oversight of development and management of Transboundary Emerald Sites in compliance with EU Biodiversity Policy for the Governments of three countries.

Activity 7.2. Develop of draft Common Platform for CSOs (members of EaP CSF) in Ukraine, Republic of Belarus, and the Republic of Moldova by each country for further cooperation of the CSOs towards monitoring, oversight, and advocacy of a policy of transboundary Emerald Sites;
The Interecocentre, EcoContact, and Bahna maintain a platform of environmental NGOs representatives composed of 21 individuals. Also, it’s a member of EaP Platform WG3 in Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus, constantly sharing and exchanging information with its members. The monitoring of the Policy Transboundary will be made at the country's level by Partners in partnership with other NGOs that work in the field, like SE Biotica with whom EcoContact has a close partnership. The Partners will support also the Ministry of Environment in improving constantly the legal framework and application of Policy Paper recommendations.

Activity 7.3. Discussion and improvement of the prepared draft Policy Paper and Common Platform for CSOs in Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova for further cooperation of the CSOs towards monitoring, oversight, and advocacy of a policy of transboundary Emerald Sites. Participation of a representative from Romania.

After the meeting on 23 of November 2021, the Partners collected feedbacks and opinions towards the draft policy paper presented and included these recommendations in the policy paper. The final Policy Paper was translated into English, Russian and Romanian in order to be accessible for all three countries. The final version of the Policy Paper.
